"As modern agriculture begins to dominate our food supply with a focus on crop yield, we want to preserve those artisanal vegetable varietals, with the vibrant colors and intriguing flavors that make our blends so distinctive." said Jared Simon, Director of Marketing for Snacks at Hain Celestial.

The TERRA® donation will support Seed Savers Exchange's efforts to maintain their collection of heirloom and open-pollinated seeds. In 2013, they grew out over 1,300 different varieties of vegetables to regenerate seed stocks and to evaluate them for culinary and garden use.

"We are excited to team up with TERRA® to share our story with consumers who appreciate and value food diversity. The variety of vegetable ingredients in their products aligns with our goal to maintain a genetically diverse food supply for the earth," said Kelly Tagtow, Marketing Manager for Seed Savers Exchange.

Seed Savers Exchange is the largest non-governmental seed bank of its kind and has been protecting food supply and cultural heritage through the collecting, growing and sharing of heirloom seeds and plants for the past 38 years.
