As caregivers, whether they’re babies, toddlers or teenagers, we’re always looking to do what’s best for our kids. These days, that caregiver mission can prove to be overwhelming with the amount of information (and misinformation) that is thrown at us on any given day. From formula, diapers and cribs to pencil pouches and water bottles (why are there so many!) – we’re constantly confronted with different choices to make on our children’s behalf.

Even before my son Gibson was born last year, starting early in the pregnancy, like every caregiver out there, I had a million things to consider and choices to make. That said, one area where I had an easy decision to make was around nutrition. As a proud Hain Celestial team member with an intimate knowledge of our Earth’s Best brand, I know that we work closely with nutritionists, pediatricians and food scientists to ensure we are developing safe and nutritious food.

We are proud to uphold high standards for our products, and we’re constantly finding new ways to refine what we do to be even better:

• Testing – Earth’s Best and our suppliers regularly conduct testing on our infant formulas and baby foods, including for heavy metals and pesticides, to ensure they meet our rigorous quality and food safety standards. Our products meet all food safety regulations for little ones and we fully support continued progress from FDA’s Closer to Zero initiative.
• Ingredient Quality – For 40 years, we have focused on using only the highest quality ingredients to make wholesome foods for little ones as they grow. As a testament to our commitment to quality, we’re proud to share that our entire line of infant formulas has achieved Clean Label Project® Certifications and Purity Awards.
• Sourcing – Our Supplier Quality program helps us determine from whom and from where we source our grains, veggies and fruits to minimize heavy metals in our supply chain. We thoroughly evaluate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure they uphold the same standards as Earth’s Best in every batch of ingredients procured.
• Product development – We continuously seek and apply science-based findings to our recipe creation, making changes if it’s in the best interest of little ones.
• Transparency – Finally, we believe in transparency and ensuring consumers have access to the information they need to make purchase decisions. On our Earth’s Best website, we have a dedicated Product Standards and Testing page where consumers can learn more and search by product to gain access to baby food* test results for potential contaminants. Earth’s Best makes testing results available for four traceable heavy metals, above and beyond those required by recent California regulation.
