For Our Loved Ones: How Hain is advancing safety in the workplace

At Hain, our commitments go far beyond producing high-quality, better-for-you products. We believe that true excellence starts with people — and that means creating a workplace where safety is a deeply held value. Every employee, every product, and every process reflects our shared responsibility to protect what matters most.
Earlier this year, we launched For Our Loved Ones, a company-wide initiative grounded in a powerful truth: the safety decisions we make every day don’t just impact us — they protect our coworkers, customers, consumers and our families at home. This campaign enhances Hain’s focus on compliance, while broadening our scope to include care — asking every team member to think not just about how we stay safe, but why we stay safe. Whether it’s wearing the right personal protective equipment, performing detailed safety checks, or upholding our rigorous quality standards, our teams are embracing safety as a shared value — not just a requirement.
For Our Loved Ones is more than a safety initiative — it’s a reflection of who we are at Hain - but don’t just take my word for it. Our teams and leaders are equally invested in this program’s success. Stephanie Genet, our Senior Director of Global Environmental Health & Safety had this to say:
“This program resonates with all of us. It continuously reminds us that every choice we make, no matter how small, can profoundly impact the people around us — our teammates, our communities, and the loved ones we go home to. I often think about my own family — the feeling of walking through the door at the end of the day and seeing my children’s faces. That moment is why this work matters. When we lead with care and take accountability for each other’s well-being, we’re doing more than keeping people safe — we’re protecting the moments that mean the most.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself, but this commitment is more than words — it’s evident in our results. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Hain’s rolling 12-month Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) is 3.5 times better than the industry average, and our Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) is twice as good. These aren’t just numbers — they represent real people going home safely every day. It’s a testament to the culture we’ve built together and the choices we make in every facility, every shift and every moment.
At Hain, safety and quality are inseparable. You can’t deliver products that are trusted, nutritious, and held to the highest standards without first ensuring a safe, responsible environment for the people who make them. From ethical sourcing and meticulous production practices to secure packaging procedures and dependable distribution methodologies, our processes are built on one guiding principle: our consumers deserve the same level of care we expect for our own families.
Safety at Hain is represented and reflected in how we show up for each other, how we lead the industry and how we honor the trust our customers place in us every day. As we continue to grow, we remain focused on building a culture where safety and quality are woven into the fabric of everything we do.
To our customers, partners, and the broader community: thank you for trusting us. We’re proud to lead not only in what we produce, but in how we care for the people behind every product.
For ourselves. For each other. For our loved ones.
